Guest Lecture on Celebration of Safer Internet Day 2026

Smt. B.K. Mehta IT Centre BCA College, Palanpur celebrated Safer Internet Day 2026 on 10th February 2026 based on the theme “Smart Tech Choices – Exploring the Safe and Responsible Use of AI.” Safer Internet Day (SID) is an international initiative observed every year on the second Tuesday of February to promote safe, responsible, and positive use of the internet and emerging technologies like AI. In India, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) leads a nationwide awareness campaign under the Information Security Education and Awareness (ISEA) Project, often with support from the National Informatics Centre (NIC) and other partners. The campaign focuses on cyber hygiene, online safety practices, major cyber threat awareness, responsible internet use, and how to mitigate digital risks. The program aimed to spread awareness among students about safe, ethical, and responsible use of the internet and Artificial Intelligence. The Resource Person Shivendra Pratap Singh guided students on topics like cyber safety, data privacy, and ethical use of AI. Students actively participated in the activities and learned the importance of making smart and safe technology choices in today’s digital world.
