POSH Awareness Workshop

As per the instructions of the UGC and Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University, a workshop was organized in our BCA College to create awareness about the POSH Act on 12th February 2026. The lecture was delivered by Mrs. Mamta Patel, Assistant Professor at the B.K. Mercantile Bank Law College Palanpur. The lecture focused on spreading awareness among women students about the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, providing a clear understanding of the Act, informing participants about their rights, duties, and responsibilities, explaining the complaint registration process and the role of the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC), creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment in the institution, and ensuring legal compliance and institutional responsibility under the POSH Act. In addition, video tutorials provided by NCV and Yuvamanthan were also presented. Thereafter, all the students took a pledge to promote gender sensitivity. Furthermore, the girl students of Semester 2 and Semester 4 participated in a painting activity under the POSH Act and spread awareness about the Act. This workshop provided proper guidance to the girl students.
