Smt. B. K. Mehta IT Centre (BCA College), Palanpur, organized an Expert Session on “Impact of AI on the Software Industry & Skill Development for IT Students” on 26 September 2026. The session was conducted by Dr. Ketul Patel, Lead Developer, iBASEt India Software Pvt. Ltd., Ahmedabad. He provided valuable insights into the growing impact of Artificial Intelligence on the software industry and emerging technology trends. The session highlighted the changing requirements of the IT sector and the essential technical and professional skills expected from IT students. Students were guided on developing future-ready skills and effectively working with AI-powered technologies. The interactive session offered practical industry-oriented knowledge and career guidance, encouraging students to continuously upgrade their skills. The college expressed sincere gratitude to Dr. Ketul Patel for his valuable guidance and contribution to students’ professional development.
Current times are undoubtedly predominated by computerisation in all fields. In order to keep pace with this computer age, the Vardhman Computer Centre was started under the auspices of the Baba Saheb Ambedkar Open University, which runs a course for certification in computing.
