Our college is one of the renowned colleges of North Gujarat region. Academic results of our college have consistently remained substantially higher than the University results. Five to seven students of the college secure positions in top 50 ranks every year at university level examination since last 10 years in both BCA & PGDCA discipline.
Our students have achieved awards at University, State and National level in cycling, table tennis, judo and badminton etc.
The institution was established through the visionary efforts of educationists and community leaders of Palanpur and the Banaskantha district in the early 1960s. Their mission was to uplift the educational standards of a region that had very limited access to higher education. With dedication and social commitment, they founded an Arts College in 1964. Since then, the management has consistently worked towards expansion, modernization, and maintaining quality education. Their progressive approach continues to guide the institution toward academic excellence and technological advancement.
The institution began its journey in 1964 with an Arts College, initially serving around 100 students and addressing the critical need for higher education in the region. Over time, recognizing the growing importance of technology, the college expanded into the field of computer education.
Under the guidance of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University, the Vardhman Computer Centre was established to offer certification courses in computing. The foundation for IT education was built with the establishment of the Bhanumatiben Kantilal Mehta I.T. Centre (B.C.A. College) in 2001. The B.C.A. program is a three-year undergraduate course for XII pass students. Starting with just 29 students, it has grown steadily and now serves approximately 400+ students across all three years. Additionally, the college offers a one-year P.G.D.C.A. program for graduates. Both programs are designed to provide a strong blend of theoretical knowledge and practical skills, preparing students for careers in the IT sector.
The institution is supported by a team of dedicated, well-qualified, and experienced faculty members appointed as per university norms. The college maintains a disciplined yet supportive environment that fosters academic excellence, innovation, and holistic student development. With a strong foundation, modern infrastructure, and a forward-looking vision, the college continues to play a vital role in promoting higher and technical education in the region.

Current times are undoubtedly predominated by computerisation in all fields. In order to keep pace with this computer age, the Vardhman Computer Centre was started under the auspices of the Baba Saheb Ambedkar Open University, which runs a course for certification in computing.
